WESTFIELD HIGH SCHOOL NAMED TO US NEWS AND WORLD REPORTS BEST HIGH SCHOOL LIST

US News and World Report recently ranked Westfield High School as one of the top high schools in not only Indiana but in the nation. Westfield High School was named a top ten high school in Indiana (#9 of 410) and in the top 4% of all schools nationwide ( #639 of almost 18,000 public, private and charter schools).

We are especially proud that the WHS College Readiness Index Rank is #2 in the state (#1 in public schools) and #375 in the nation.  In fact, on a national level, our College Readiness Index (based on the number of seniors who take and pass at least one AP exam) ranks us in the top 2% of ALL schools nationwide.  The College Curriculum Breadth Index (based on the number of seniors who took multiple AP exams) rank puts us in the top 2.5% in the nation.

While achieving state and national rankings is not our primary goal, it is a great opportunity for us to see that what we do at Westfield High School is indeed preparing our students for what comes the day after graduation.  Knowing that college is not the path that all of our Shamrocks will follow, this ranking says more about our process of preparing students with rigor for whatever path they choose. This process, not the result- is what we celebrate.
