Concussion Information
A concussion is a traumatic injury to the brain that can be caused by a bump or blow to the head. Because you can not see a concussion, it is difficult to determine if you child has a concussion. Attached are information sheets that can help teach you what to watch for and when to seek medical attention.
If you think your child has a concussion, please take your child to the doctor. While the school nurse can help assist a student who has a been diagnosed with a concussion when they return to school, it requires a doctor to determine if your child has a concussion and how to treat it.
