Peanut Butter Uncrustables Now Available

Beginning this school year, all WWS schools will offer the original peanut butter Uncrustables instead of the SunButter version.

While this is a change for Food Services, WWS has never been a peanut-free district. This update has been approved by district administration, and our school nurses are aware of the change.

New Elementary À La Carte Options

Elementary students will have additional à la carte choices available this school year.

Available for $1.00

• Assorted cookies
• Pudding
• Juicy Juice boxes

Available for $1.50

• Chips
• Ice cream
• Uncrustable sandwiches

Students may purchase up to two à la carte items per day.

Please note: Uncrustables will also continue to be offered as a lunch entrée, replacing the previous SunButter option.

All à la carte items meet state and federal School Nutrition Program requirements, including Smart Snacks guidelines.

Paying for À La Carte Items

Students must have available funds in their lunch account to purchase à la carte items. À la carte purchases cannot cause a student's lunch account to have a negative balance.

Parents determine whether their student may purchase à la carte items.

Restricting À La Carte Purchases

Parents who wish to limit or prevent à la carte purchases can manage those settings through the Lunchtime portal.

You may choose to allow or restrict purchases of:

• Cookies
• Juicy Juice
• Pudding
• Uncrustables
• Chips
• Ice cream

If a restricted item is selected at checkout, the system will notify cafeteria staff and the purchase will not be completed.

To purchase breakfast, lunch, or a snack at any Westfield Washington School, you must sign up through LunchTime and create an account for each child. Once enrolled, you can add money to your child(ren)'s account. They will enter their Student ID at the register and the costs of the purchase will come out of that account.

With LunchTime, you can set spending limits, prohibit you child from purchasing certain foods, set up notifications for when the account gets low and much more. Download the app below to stay up to date on your child(ren)'s account(s) or click the button above to manage it from your computer.

Families can now view breakfast and lunch menus for their student's school using our new online menu system. When you've selected a menu to view, you can scroll down the options on the right side of your screen to get a QR code for convenient viewing on your mobile device:

1. Click here

2. Click on “Add A Student”.

3. Enter the School Zip Code: 46074 

4. Select the school your child is attending. 

5. Enter the child’s last name and Student ID#  -- Student should appear with “Add A Student” to the left of his/her name. 

6. Click on the “Add A Student”

7. You should now be on a page showing the student’s account; below that, you can click “Make a Cafeteria Deposit.” 

A new application must be completed each school year. The Application for Free or Reduced Meals and Other Benefits is now available on-line by clicking the button below. Please be aware that you will be held responsible for any charges incurred if you do not apply again for each school year.

Important Reminder from Westfield Washington Schools
If your family qualifies for free or reduced-price benefits through SNAP, TANF, FDPIR Benefits, or Foster Care, you do not need to complete the online application.

However, if there are additional students in your household not listed on the approval letter you received from Westfield Washington Schools, please notify us so we can ensure they are included in your benefits.
 

IMPORTANT: Your child(ren)'s meal will only be free or reduced in price if they purchase a FULL MEAL. Even if your child takes LESS than a full meal, you will receive a charge on your account EVEN IF YOU QUALIFY FOR FREE/REDUCED MEALS. Please remind your child(ren) to follow the guidance below to avoid overpaying.

Special Dietary Needs Procedure and Medical Form

Please also contact your school's nurse to submit Anaphylaxis Action Forms for severe allergies and to drop off emergency medications in the clinic.

You can receive notifications when your child(ren)'s lunch account balance is low.

1. Login to LunchTime.

2. Select “View/Set” Reminders

3. Select View next to your student's name

4. Enter the balance on which you would like to receive the notification.

You can restrict certain a la carte items or entrees that your child(ren) can purchase. 

1. Login to LunchTime.

2. Select “Restrict Items” located under the Cafeteria Balance/Transaction Info.

3. Select Restrict next to your student's name for any item you do not want them to purchase.

4. Enter the balance you would like to receive the notification.

LunchTime Credit Card Fees

Effective August 1, a fee will be applied to all transactions made using credit cards for school-related payments including student fees and lunch accounts. This change is necessary to cover the costs associated with processing credit card transactions and to help maintain the quality of our educational services.

LunchTime will automatically add the following fees at the time of your transaction:

• ACH: $1.50 for every transaction of $500.00 or less
• Credit Cards: 2.3% of the transaction amount + $1.00

To avoid fees, you must make a payment using cash or check, by sending the payment in an envelope with the student's name and student ID number to school with your student, or you may drop the payment off at the main office of your child's school.

Checks should be made out to Westfield Washington Schools.

• Breakfast for all grades: $1.70
• Lunch for Grades K-4: $3.10
• Lunch for Grades 5-12: $3.35
• Reduced Lunch: $0.40
• Reduced Breakfast is: $0.30
