New Student Registration

We are so glad you have chosen Westfield Washington Schools for your child's education! Registration is only for students that are new to the district and/or if you have a child entering Kindergarten. For more information about registration, please visit our Registration page. 

Required documents:

• A copy of your Indiana Driver's License or State ID with current address. 
• A deed, building permit, rental agreement, mortgage statement, or current lease. (Lease should include term, address of the leased property, name and phone number of the lessor, name of the lessee, and a listing of tenants)
• A current water bill, gas bill, or electric bill
• A copy of the original birth certificate
• Immunization records 
• Guardianship or custody papers, if applicable
• Support Services Documentation if applicable
• IEP (Individualized Education Plan)
• ILP (Individualized Language Plan)
• Section 504 plan
• If available
• Most recent Report Card 
• Current transcript or most recent class schedule (High School Only)

What elementary school will my child(ren) go to?

Westfield Washington schools has six elementary schools that serve students from kindergarten to fourth grade. All students in fifth and sixth grade will attend Westfield Intermediate School.

Chromebook Insurance

K12 Tech offers protection plan coverage for all school-provided Chromebooks for students in grades 3-12. K12 Tech has been a great partner for the school district for over seven years. This is an optional program, but is highly recommended. Repairs can be very expensive and this will offset all costs.

Pricing for students in grades 3-12 is $23.00 per student. This price includes accidental device protection for their school-issued Chromebooks. It also covers as many damage incidents that happen throughout the year. There are no deductibles. Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade do not need the protection plan.

Consumable Fees

Textbook rental fees will be covered by the State of Indiana again this school year.  This includes textbooks, workbooks, and technology devices essential for a basic education.

Students will be charged consumable fees, which cover specific class fees and supplies to enhance the educational experience. The fee amounts will be comparable to previous years, with the exception of last year when the school district covered these costs. For grades K-6, the fee will be around $35 per student. For grades 7-12, the fee will depend on the students' course selection, with additional costs for advanced placement, dual credit, and CTE classes.

A new application for free/reduced fees must be completed each school year. The Application for Free or Reduced Meals and Other Benefits is now available on-line by clicking the button below. If your family qualifies for free or reduced-price benefits through SNAP, TANF, Medicaid (based on income), or Foster Care, you do not need to complete the online application.

However, if there are additional students in your household not listed on the approval letter you received from Westfield Washington Schools, please notify us so we can ensure they are included in your benefits.

Immunizations

The Indiana Department of Health requires all students meet the school immunization requirements by the first day of school. Immunization records or exemptions must be received by the school nurse by August 7, 2025 for the 2025-26 school year. Please be aware, students entering grades 6th and 12th have additional immunizations. Please check the table below.

Immunizations can be given at the Hamilton County Health Department (pre-registration is required), your child’s healthcare providers office, local minute clinics, Trinity Free Clinic, or Heart and Soul Clinic, local pharmacies. For questions, contact your healthcare provider. The required vaccines are listed below according to your students' grade.

Please note: If your child is not receiving immunizations for Religious or Medical reasons, the exemption forms must be signed/received at the start of every school year and are also due to the school nurse by August 7th. Forms can be found here.

PowerSchool Parent Portal is Westfield Washington Schools’ secure, online student information system, connecting you to your child’s school experience. It provides real-time access to your child’s attendance, grades, class schedule, and more. At WWS, it also allows families to report absences and pay school consumable fees—all in one convenient place.

Once you create a Parent Portal account, you'll be able to:

• View your child’s class schedule
• Monitor grades and attendance
• Report an absence
• Pay school fees and track balances

Creating a Parent Portal account is required to access these features. While the mobile app is helpful for quick updates, many key functions—like fee payments and full schedules—are only available on the desktop version.

SafeVisitor

There will be lots of chances for you to visit your child in school, but you'll have to register with SafeVisitor and complete your background check. This is done for the safety of your children and our staff. You can assist in their classroom, chaperone field trips, meet them for lunch and much more. Your child(ren)'s teacher and/or principal will keep you updated with all of the opportunities.

*All schools have a 30-minute delayed start on Wednesdays.  Buses arrive at bus stops 30 minutes later than their regularly scheduled time.

Before and After Care

If you have a child in kindergarten through sixth grade, they can be signed up for Before & After Care (BAC). Spots are limited and they fill up quickly. If there is no spot for your child(ren), they can be placed on a waiting list. Click the button below for more information.

Daycare (TOTS)

Our daycare program goes from eight weeks old until preschool and is primarily for children of employees, which is why it is called TOTS (Toddlers of Teachers and Staff). If there are daycare slots remaining after our staff has been taken care of, we open the additional slots to the community. Talking Points

Westfield Washington Schools uses TalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES.

This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.

The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teachers.

Transportation

Our transportation department is committed to the safe and efficient transport of your children–whether for daily trips to school, field trips, or other special events or sporting events. To add a new student to a bus route, you must contact the transportation department at transportation@wws.k12.in.us. Transportation information

We are excited to announce the we are rolling out the Here Comes the Bus platform this school year! This will allow parents to track their child(ren)'s bus in real time. This service will be available at the start of the school year, however, it will be fully functional after Labor Day when all of the requested stop changes and route adjustments are fully implemented.
