Special Education Programs

The mission of Special Services at Westfield Washington Schools is to eliminate learning, social, and emotional gaps by providing equal access to high-quality comprehensive services that support student achievement. Our vision is to ensure each student has equitable opportunities to engage in innovative, high-quality instruction in their least restrictive environment, allowing for maximizing academic, social and emotional growth.

Services

ADA, 504, and IEP

We offer educational services to students with disabilities aged 3-22 in compliance with IDEA/Article 7. Our teachers work together to provide an appropriate education in the least restrictive environment possible. We prioritize serving students in general education. Contact your child's teacher/principal or the special education office at 317–867–8000 with IEP concerns.

Section 504 of The Rehabilitation Act requires public schools to offer services and accommodations for eligible students with disabilities. These services help students with special health needs access facilities/curriculum.
