Learning Systems
Curriculum supports the core business of student learning through the following:
- Teachers, administrators, parents, and community members work together to create a rigorous curriculum that goes beyond the Indiana Academic Standards.
- Teachers and administrators utilize data and research that is specific and current to align and articulate K-12 curriculum.
- Teachers and administrators continually strive to practice high-yield instructional strategies to maximize student learning.
- Teachers and administrators as professionals take part in job-embedded professional development activities in coaching cycles and late start professional learning Wednesdays, as well as half and whole day staff development opportunities on and off-site.
The Learning Systems Department works collaboratively and creatively to provide resources (e.g., time, materials, resources, research, and professional development opportunities) for staff and students.
