Duke Energy Foundation awards COVID-19 eLearning grant to WWS District
Westfield, IN - The Westfield Education Foundation (WEF) is thrilled to announce Duke Energy Foundation’s support of Westfield Washington Schools’ COVID-19 Activation of an eLearning grant in the amount of $3,700. These funds will be used to provide broadband capabilities to WWS students without internet access.
Duke Energy’s commitment to WWS students is unmatched as they helped make possible the delivery of Wi-Fi/ Broadband hotspots to students in need this week. “This project allows WWS to meet the needs of all students by providing the capability to have access to eLearning and continue to excel,” says Jody Dedon, Executive Director of Westfield Education Foundation.
“I want to thank Duke Energy for their commitment to our students and our community during these unprecedented times,” says Dr. Sherry Grate, Westfield Washington Schools Superintendent. “This grant will help ease the burden to so many of our Rocks families and we appreciate Duke Energy’s long-standing dedication to our amazing community,” says Grate.
