    AP Music Theory

    AP Music Theory mirrors the curriculum of first-year university written and aural theory courses. Students will study and develop in the areas of rhythm, harmony, music notation, form, scales, composition, and aural skills.


    Applied Music- Guitar I

    This course will introduce students to playing the acoustic guitar. The class will stress technique, music theory, critical listening skills, improvisation, and performance of beginning piano literature. Instruments are provided and no prior musical experience is necessary.


    Applied Music- Steel Pan I and II

    These courses will introduce students to playing in a steel pan ensemble. A concert performance is given at the end of the course. Instruments are provided and no prior musical experience is necessary.


    Bach to Rock Music History 1

    This course will introduce students to history of European art music and Rock. Students will learn about prominent musical time periods, works, and musicians relating to these two areas. No prior musical experience is necessary.


    Electronic Music

    This course will introduce students to the theory and fundamentals of using software and hardware tools for producing music. The class will stress application and creative content, using a series of creative activities and projects No previous musical experience is necessary.


    Rock Ensemble

    This courses will introduce students to playing in a rock band ensemble. A concert performance is given at the end of the course. Some previous musical experience is preferred.
