    Concert Choir

    Concert Choir is an intermediate level choir. It is a non-auditioned group of 9th-12th grade students. In this course, musicianship skills are emphasized, so students are prepared to audition for an advanced ensemble, if they wish. Concert Choir performs a concert near the end of each trimester and participates in ISSMA Organizational Contest each spring. This choir consistently earns Gold ratings in both performance and sight reading. Students in this class have the opportunity to participate in ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest, helping them build individual and small group singing experience.

    Limited Edition

    Limited Edition is an advanced level concert choir. It is an auditioned group of 10th-12th grade students. Members are expected to have proficient musicianship skills upon entering the class, so more advanced topics can be studied. Limited Edition is featured in the WHS Holiday Festival and performs a concert near the end of each trimester. This ensemble participates in ISSMA Organizational Contest each spring. Limited Edition has consistently earned Gold ratings in both performance and sight reading. Many students from this group elect to participate in ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest each year.


    Signature Sound

    Signature Sound is Westfield High School’s premier vocal jazz ensemble. It is an auditioned group of 10th-12th grade students. Members are expected to have strong musicianship and sight-reading skills upon entering the class. Signature Sound is featured in the WHS Holiday Festival and performs a concert near the end of each trimester. They enjoy performing in the Westfield community, especially during the holidays. Signature Sound participates in ISSMA Vocal Jazz Contest each winter. They have earned Gold or Gold with Distinction ratings every year. In 2017, Signature Sound was a state finalist at Vocal Jazz Contest. They have also been selected as a finalist multiple times in the B105.7 Christmas Choir Competition.
