WWS Summer Camps

  • WESTFIELD SUMMER CHILD CARE 2020

    Summer childcare enrollment is closed. 

     

    Due to the Covid 19 disruption of our normal Westfield Summer Camps, all sports and opportunity camps for the summer have been cancelled in addition to full week camps from May 28-July 3, 2020.  To help support our working families, we will open Summer Child Care beginning July 6-31, 2020 at Monon Trail Elementary from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  This program will require a full month enrollment commitment with no credit for days child does not attend.  No child care is available August 1-11, 2020 in order to allow the custodial staff to clean and prepare the elementary building for the 2020-2021 school year.

    To provide a safe environment, we will group children by grades with groups formed by 18 children to 3 staff members.  The groups and staff will remain together the entire month of July.  Online open enrollment begins Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. with enrollment pending until we can form the small groups.  Please click the EZ ChildTrack link on the left to submit your child's summer child care enrollment.  Please note that enrollment is a commitment of a full month and not week-by-week. 

    Each week we will have a different theme with activites planned around the weekly themes.  It is our hope we would have some speakers/presentations that would take place outside while allowing for social distancing.
     
    Children will be in a set group of 18 with three adults. There will be activities outside including using the playground (it'll be cleaned after each group), playing organized sports such as kickball, soccer, wiffle ball, and hiking, etc.
     
    Indoors children will have activities such as play group games, board games, card games, access to indoor toys, and may also do some virtual field trips related to the theme of the week. 
     
    If there in inclement weather, we will have access to the multipurpose room and the gym for large space activities and games.

    July 13-17 -- Up Up and Away
    July 20-24 -- Take a Hike
    July 27-31 -- Around the Campfire
     

    Summer Snacks and Lunches

    Morning and afternoon snacks and drinks as well as lunch are included in the summer program at no additional cost.  Below are the menus for the summer child care program.
