Education Foundation

Student Scholarships

The Education Foundation administers a variety of scholarship funds available to Westfield High School seniors.

The funds include the Bray Scholarship Fund, the Sturdevant Scholarship Fund, the Foundation Scholarship Fund, the William Wood Scholarship Fund, and the 5K Run (Underground Railroad Run) Scholarship Fund.  The 5K Run Scholarships of $350 are drawn at random based upon seniors indicating interest in continuing their education.

Since 1991, the foundation has awarded in excess of $165,425 to Westfield seniors.  In 2010, the foundation awarded over $50,250 in scholarships to the following recipients:

  • Dr. Bray Scholarship ($5,000) – Greta Lohe
  • Rebecca Sturdevant Scholarships ($2,500) – Rachel Gidley, Chelsea Hayes, Henna Patel, Courtney Ramey
  • WWEDF Scholarships ($2,500) – Lauren Chapman, Alexandra Holland, Christopher Russo, Matthew Skinner, Miranda Snider, Katlynn Starr
  • William Wood Scholarship ($2,000) – Karina Hamamouche
  • Horizon Scholarship ($1,000) – Logan Crouch
  • Sodexo Food Services Scholarship ($1,000) – Simon Burns, Sara Bush, McKenzie Dobson, Amanda Maulden, Daniel Niederberger
  • The Richard H. Crosser Memorial Scholarship ($700) – Adam Cross
  • David L. Adams Academic Award ($500) – Jesse Vanosdol
  • Tommie Moore Athletic Award ($400) – Derek Rose
